Living with the Envy day to day
Setting it up. Pull the printer out of the foam tray, peel the protective tape from the print bay, drop in the supplied ink, and walk through pairing in the Smart app on your phone — the whole sequence is built around photos, so the app prompts you to print a sample 4 by 6 to confirm colour balance before you commit a stack of glossy paper.
Routine maintenance. Photo work asks a little more of the printheads, so plan to run the built-in nozzle clean about once a quarter, or any time you notice banding on dark areas. Storing unused photo paper flat in a sealed bag also keeps the surface from absorbing humidity and curling at the corners.
Cloud and remote features. ENVY plays nicely with cloud photo libraries — pin a phone gallery, an iCloud album, or a borderless 5 by 7 from a social platform straight to the print queue. Voice control through supported smart speakers can also fire pre-saved reprints of homework worksheets or shopping lists.
Warranty and US support. Each ENVY ships with a one-year limited hardware warranty, plus our own 30-day satisfaction return window if the colour profile or finish does not meet expectations.
