Living with the ScanJet day to day
Setting it up. Plug the scanner into a USB-3 port (or drop it on the network if it is a Pro or Enterprise SKU), install the driver bundle from the included card, then build a one-button scan profile that picks the destination folder, file format, OCR language, and naming pattern. Most users set up profiles once and then never touch the panel again.
Routine maintenance. Feeder rollers are wear items rated for around 100,000 pages — the device counts pages and warns you when a swap is due. Swapping rollers is a five-minute, no-tools job, and a quick monthly wipe of the scan glass with a lint-free cloth keeps lines off scanned pages.
Cloud and remote features. Scan destinations include local folders, network shares, FTP, email, and the major personal-cloud drives directly from the device, with separate distributed-capture options on Enterprise Flow units that let multiple scanners feed into a shared back-office workflow without IT-side scripting.
Warranty and US support. One-year hardware warranty is standard on Pro models, with optional advance-unit-exchange coverage on Enterprise Flow scanners that ships a working replacement before the original ever leaves your office.
